Biography:

Born September 14,1937, Gunny Rush grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, where he enjoyed playing football and golf. He joined the Marine Corps with the intention of making it his career. He rose to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant prior to his death in Vietnam on April 21,1969.
