Biography:

Ron Neary had a passion for reading. After graduating from Permian High School, Odessa, Texas, he entered Hardin Simmons University with a goal of getting into medical school to become a doctor. However, he also sought to be a writer.

Just a few months into his first tour of duty in Vietnam, he was killed in action on May 1, 1968.
