Biography:

Nineteen year old Kenith Jarrell from Odessa, Texas, was born Nov. 29, 1953 and had completed the 11th grade at Permian High School before entering the service on May 1st, 1968. After receiving his basic at Camp Pendelton, California, he went over seas on June 6th , and was attached to G Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment.

During a company-size search and clear operation 25 miles south-southeast of Da Nang, he was killed on August 23, 1969 by enemy small arms fire and burns received as a result of a strike by friendly aircraft.
