Biography:

Jose "Tex" Diaz, born January 26, 1949 in Pecos, Texas, attended Barstow Elementary School, Barstow Junior High School and Barstow High School. He was active in football, basketball and boxing. His tour of duty began July, 1968, in Chu-Hai, Republic of Vietnam. He was killed in action on April 12, 1969.
