Towering Tribute

"Plainview - Home Town of Jimmy Dean" was repainted in large black block letters on a 500,000-gallon city water tower Tuesday by LUpton Painting Co. of Shawnee, OK. The lettering acknowledging the entertainer/businessman, who grew up here, had not been included when the tower got a new silver coat a few years ago. The $1,500 cost of reapinting the letters will be paid from the city's utility fund bu Mayor Gene Ridlehuber plans to seek private contributions to repay the cost.
